Mapping your NAS Network Attached Storage Including: the “Public” Storage and your personal “Photography” Storage

Mapping Makes a network or virtual drive appear as a logical, or local, drive as if it were physically connected to the drive. Allows for the drive to be visible in “Open” and “Save” dialog boxes. Mapped drives will also be available to “My Computer” home view and “Searches”.

“Start Key  + R” (or, simply “Run” in the start menu)

Type \\wbphoto\ That’s backslash backslash wbphoto backslash\\wbphoto\

As you type your last name, you should start to see your name, which you can then click on.

BACK SLASH Used for local network volumes \\wbphoto\lokerg

Forward Slash Used for Web address

Map the drive (so it will reconnect at each login). Right click in the upper left corner (on the folder icon)…then select “Map Network Drive”. Use the letter “P” for your Photography folder

You will need to do this (map the network drive) anytime you move to a new computer. Also see: Computer Tips when you log into a new computer for the first time.Computer Tips
