IESALC - INFORMATION AND DOCUMENTATION SERVICE (SID) Research interest on Higher Education (HE) issues started in the late 60s in the LA region The Regional Centre for Higher Education in Latin America and the Caribbean was created in 1978 and, a year later, the Information and Documentation Centre started operations. The SID is the only library specialized in HE issues within REDUN (National Network of Libraries specialized in Education).
