Fables Fables come from Africa, Asia, China, India and many other countries They were originally handed down through the generations by word of mouth Fables were often used to tell a moral Many fables are thousands of years old

Aesop Aesop is one of the most famous tellers of fables. Thought to have lived in the 6 th century B.C. African, but enslaved in Greece It was said he earned his freedom because of the political nature of his stories. He was gifted with an extraordinary imagination who created tales for political purposes. He often used animals that acted like humans in his tales.
