From the opening menu, click on the “catalog” tab to open the catalog module.

This is the cataloging homepage you will see once you have chosen the cataloging module. As you can see, on the left you have the main menu for choosing cataloging tasks.

When you want to add a new resources to the media center catalog, you must first choose what type of material you are adding. You can choose from a list of material types.

Using the main menu on the left of the screen, click on the “add title” link.

1. Choose the material type in the dropdown “find” box. There are numerous categories to choose from. 2. Choose how you would like to search. You have the option of searching by title, author, subject, ISBN, ICCN, and IBBN. 3. Type in what you would like to search.

Choose the book you would like to enter from a list of search results.

Click on “add copies”.

Fill out the information fields for status, number of copies, call number, purchase price, circulation type, and date acquired. You can either type in your own barcode, but the easiest choice is to choose “assign next barcode”. When you are done, you can print labels, or just choose save copies,

From the cataloging main page, choose “import title” from the menu on the left.

Users can import titles into the database using the MARC information provided from the book. 1.Choose title matching option, either strict or relaxed. 2.Choose copy matching information. 3. Assign Copy information.

Now, you can import your MARC record file. When you’re done, you can choose to preview your import or just import the material

From the cataloging homepage, choose “update copies” from the main menu on the left.

To delete materials individually, choose “individual delete” from the tabbed choices, type in the title, and click “go”. You can select “Track as weeded” if, in the future, you would like to bring this title up in a report.

To delete every copy in the file, choose “Batch Delete” from the menu, upload the file name you would like to delete and click Browse. You can choose “Track as weeded” to pull up the title in future reports. To complete the process, click “update”. Remember, this is a permanent change to the collection!

To edit an existing MARC record, find the desired title using the library search menu.

From the search results, choose the title you would like to edit.

Choose “edit title”.

You can edit the information using the “easy editor” located on this page, or you can use the MARC editor.

Using the MARC editor, you can change in information (in blue) for the title or you can delete information. When you are finished, click save title at the bottom of the page.
