PSY 493 Psychology 493 – Neurobiology of Mental Health Disorders Instructor : Joseph Nuñez Meeting Location/Time : 104 Giltner Hall, Wednesday 3:00 - 4:20 pm. Description : Course covering the brain-related etiology of mental health disorders, from a clinical and basic research perspective. This course will focus on the biological mechanisms underlying selected mental health disorders, and will expose students to an integrated perspective of these disorders, including clinical and pathological characteristics, clinical interventions, and findings from basic neuroscience research. Topics will cover a broad range, including: depression, anxiety, schizophrenia, post-traumatic stress disorder, anti-social/conduct disorder, eating disorder, ADHD and obsessive- compulsive disorder.
