integer  A member of the set of positive whole numbers 1, 2, 3, negative whole numbers -1, -2, -3,, and zero 0.

rational number  A number capable of being expressed as an integer or a quotient of integers, excluding zero as a denominator.

scientific notation  A method of writing or displaying numbers in terms of a decimal number between 1 and 10 multiplied by a power of 10. The scientific notation of 10,492, for example, is × 

perfect square  An integer that is the square of an integer.

irrational number  Any real number that cannot be expressed as a ratio between two integers.

real numbers  A number that is rational or irrational, not imaginary.

Range  set of data is the difference between the largest and smallest

Prism  A solid object that has two identical ends and all flat sides. The cross section is the same all along its length

Hypotenuse  is the longest side of a right-angled triangle …

density property  states that, between two rational numbers on a number line…

Adjacent angles  Two angles are Adjacent if they have a common side and a common vertex…

Coefficient  Mathematics. a number or quantity placed (generally) before and multiplying another quantity, as 3 in the expression 3x…..

Distance Formula  The formula, which is used to find the distance between two points (x1, y1) and (x2, y2)…

Domain  function is the set of all possible input values (usually x)…

Scatter plot is a graph made by plotting ordered pairs in a coordinate plane to show the correlation between two sets of number…

Slope intercept form  the equation of a straight line in the form y = mx + b where m is the slope of the line and b is its y-intercept

Legs of a right Triangle  In a right triangle, the sides opposite to the acute angles are called the Legs of a Triangle.
