Pharaohs…Kings of Egypt. Presented by Kyle TylerRachelle And Rachale

Who was the Pharaoh? Who was the Pharaoh? The Pharaoh was the king of Egypt. The name Pharaoh meant ”Great House”. The name Pharaoh also meant the place where the pharaoh lived

The lifestyle The Pharaoh was at the top of the social pyramid. Pharaohs may have more than one wife. Thutmose III married his half-sister

The Battlefield Thutmose III and Ramses II were warrior kings. The Pharaoh was also in charge of the military. Ramses I was a commander of the Horemheb’s army

Dynasties There were about 33 dynasties total in Egypt. A dynasty is a family that once ruled a land [ country ]

The All-Stars of Egypt!! Our selected list: # 1 Ramses II # 2 Cleopatra VII # 3 Tutankhamen [ King Tut ]

Ramses II He reigned for 67 years during the 19 th dynasty. He set the capital at the Nile Delta. He was remembered for his great structures. He outlived 11 sons.

Cleopatra VII She ruled in Alexandria. She was part Macedonian, Greek, and Iranian. She was not important, but she became famous. She was depicted in Shakespeare’s play “Antony and Cleopatra”.

Tutankhamen He, like Cleopatra, wasn’t important. Sadly, he was a teenager when he died. He died from a broken leg, not assassination. His tomb hadn’t been robbed.

Religion The Pharaoh was considered a god in human form. Akhenaten only let one god become the religion. Ramses II was believed to be pharaoh in the bible.

How a pharaoh died. The pharaoh had to die a natural death. The pharaoh had a pyramid built for him for his death.
