MAKING NAIL POLISH OUT OF MAKEUP! Kaganakelsissa Katie, Gergana, Kelsey, Marissa

OUR PROJECT Our project revolves around us learning how to make quality videos that help the viewers understand what the purpose for the video is. In our videos we would make nail polish out of a variety of makeup, including old eye shadow, old lipstick, and old lip gloss. Also in two of the videos we tried trial and error which was a video just based on trying new things. We tried to help the viewers by making a tutorial that showed them different fun activities.

CHALLENGES Mixing the right amount of makeup into the clear polish. We overcame this challenge by trying multiple times if we did not have the right amount. Also we noted to ourselves what we could do better next time, if we had to much we would start over or add more polish to the container.

CHALLENGES Creating the videos-editing, making it interesting We overcame this challenge by taking our time and not getting frustrated when we messed up. We would start over the scene and plan ahead so we would not make as many mistakes. Over time we became better at this and made less mistakes on our first try.

CHALLENGES Another one of our challenges was when we accidently deleted some scenes from a original video and now it wont let us upload it to our second YouTube account. We overcame this by embedding it into the other channel. It took us some time to come up with this solution to the problem because none of us are to skilled at working on computers but we got help from other groups and people.

LEARNING  We learned a lot about working in a group and doing your part of the project. We also learned how to edit the videos better and include some parts that make it more interesting. We also learned how to make a video that was good quality. Finally we learned how to make a video that helped others understand and learn about what we were trying to teach. We applied this by including things like voice overs and music into the video. We applied learning about working in a group by splitting up the work evenly and cooperating together.

FAILURES Some of the failures we had during our project was when we accidently deleted some parts of the video or when we forgot to add some things to our video. In the first video we made we made many mistakes with the lighting and noise that made the video worse quality. We learned from these problems by working in a quite environment and checking our work thoroughly before we submitted it.

WAS THE PROJECT SUCCESSFUL? We think our project was successful. This is because our goal at the beginning of the project was to have a running YouTube channel with DIY videos teaching people how to make their own nail-polish in a variety of methods, we made it. Our YouTube is called Kaganakelsissa. Also, we got to make nail polish which was fun. We made 4 different polishes.

MORE TO TALK ABOUT… Could time have been used more effectively? How? What would be done differently? Honest attempt at project completion?

THANKS FOR WATCHING!!
