Setting the scene Charities/CIC’s most trade like businesses The social enterprise sector is growing Locally & nationally there is less grant funding available Sector needs to move towards contract delivery to support core public sector services The challenges are working together in partnerships or consortium

Government initiatives that impact on sector Social Value Act Localism Development of Local Enterprise Partnerships (LEPS) Reorganisation of NHS - CCG’s

Three primary aims of the project Network - peer support inter trading access to speakers and mentors Consortia development – supporting the sector to come together to increase its trading and establish formal partnerships. Cost reductions – shared services bulk purchasing
