Košice Region is located in the southeastern part of the Slovak Republic It is one of the eight Slovak administrative regions Its area represents 14% of the total area of Slovakia General Information

Geography of the region The region borders on the Prešov Region in the north and the Banská Bystrica Region in the west It also shares two state borders – with Ukraine and Hungary The largest mountain is the Slovak Ore Mountains The largest river is the River of Bodrog
