Da Vinci presents:

What is ? echo is a web portal where assignments, discussions, grades, and resources can be found for your classes. To get started, open up Firefox or Internet Explorer

Echo should be your homepage. Its URL is

Your login is the same as your address, which will be: Make sure you typed your name as it is on your ID. If you have two last names, use both (no space or hyphen between). Case doesn’t matter (“Happy” is the same as “happy”.) Passwords distributed to parents/guardians/students

You should see something that looks like this: Spend a few minutes exploring. You may want to set up your profile. You’ll have a Google session where the “Google Apps” link and the Google info at the bottom of your homepage is explained, so don’t worry about those now.

Getting around Basic setup of your account. Get to Google Docs, Sites, Mail and more Log out of echo and google. Highlighted tab and icon show where in echo you currently are. Home has overview information about Da Vinci and shows some highlights of your google account. Courses lists your classes, and is where you’ll go to get class assignments, turn in some work, etc.. Groups is one place to collaborate with others on projects.

Taking a course with Click on your courses tab and then on the title “Echo Training”

Taking a course with At nex+ ɢ en you’ll spend a lot of time on the projects tab. You’ll have time to explore other parts later, but for now go to the projects tab.

Course Calendars support the learning process.

Taking a course with Some of your courses will have more projects, but this course’s only project is “Echo.” If you click on that project you’ll see this page.

Have any Need To Knows? Just takes a moment to post one. The Project Briefcase contains activities, resources, and more for your project. This mini- project only has one activity– to do it, click “Writing a Journal. At the top is some general information, including due dates.

Clicking “Respond” will extend the page giving you space to respond. Write your response (hopefully more thoughtful than Happy’s.) Include a note to the teacher if you want, and click Save to submit your journal. Include a file if you want. Seeing the drop menu is an Echo bug. There’s a few of them.

Computer Care & Use –Classrooms will have class sets of laptops that will remain in the classroom for student use. –Each student will be issued a flash-drive for class and home use; it is a priority that they habitually save work done at home and school for timely submissions and useful work time. Students will return flash drives and the end of the year. –Technology is a privilege at Da Vinci
