DANIELLE BERNHOFT JORDAN RHOTON ALICIA MORGAN ALLY JOHNSON Scenario Six

Our scenario August 2nd to August 7th On the metro leaving the airport, you were pickpocketed and lost all your credit cards and most of your important documents. All you have left is 300 euros you exchanged at the airport and a hotel room you booked and paid for in advance. While you wait for your cards and documents to be replaced, you still want to see the sights of Paris. You will need to look for free or almost free entertainment.

Lodging Hôtel Edgar Twelve playful rooms, each decorated by a different team of artists or designers, await the lucky few who secure a reservation at this former convent/seamstress workshop. Free breakfast and brunch on Saturday and Sundays

Sunday, August 2 8:00-9:00: Get up early… today is a very busy day! 9:00 to 9:45: Eat brunch provided by hotel. 9:45-10:15: Ride the metro using bus pass that I bought before pick pocketed 10:15-12:45: Take advantage of the first Sunday free admission to the Louvre.

Sunday, August 2 12:45 to 1:45: Grab lunch at the Le Camion Qui Fume food truck, which was the first food truck in Paris. (cost 10,50€) 2:00 to 5:00: Take advantage of more first Sunday of the month, and go to Musée d'Orsay.

Sunday, August 2 5:00 to 6:30: Eat dinner at Le Nemrod, which was recommended to try to Croque Poilane for ten euros. 6:30 to 10:30: End the day with a movie at the park in Parc de la Villette.

Monday, August 3 9 am to 10 am: Get up and get ready for the day 10 am to 11 am: Breakfast at HolyBelly (15 euros) 11 am to 1 pm: Stroll through the Jardin du Luxembourg (free) which was established in the 17 th Century. There is a beautiful floral garden to walk through.

Monday, August 3 1 pm to 2pm: Chez Hanna. While there is a line usually, the food is very cheap. The cheapest food to get is a pita sandwich bursting with crunchy chickpea-and-herb balls, tahini sauce and vegetables, and costs 4 euros.

Monday, August 3 2pm to 5:30 pm: Visit the Cathedral of Notre Dame. It inspired many stories such as The Hunchback of Notre Dame and has been alive for many centuries. It is big enough that you can wander around and look around. 5:30 pm to 7 pm: Dinner at Chartier. It opened at 1896, and is an elegant dinner setting. A main dish is 8 euros.

Monday, August 3 7pm to 11 pm: Walk around downtown Paris. Go sightseeing at night. At night, the Eiffel Tower hosts a five minute light show. 11 pm: Get a ride to hotel via the Metro, which we have a Metro pass to anyway. Go to bed! Total cost: 27 euros

Tuesday, August 4 9 am to 10 am: Eat breakfast 1o am to 10:30: go to Downtown Paris via Metro 10:30: Arrive at French market 10:30 to 12: Buy picnic food at boulangeries, fromageries, and boucherie. (15 euros) 12 pm to 3 pm: Eat a picnic at Parc André Citroën.

Tuesday, August 4 3 pm to 7 pm: Visit Paris Plage, which is a free beach festival that transforms in the Paris streets in the summer. 7pm to 8 pm: Grab a late dinner at L’as du Falafel, for 5.50 euros. The line is long so that is why it would take so much longer. 8pm to 9pm: Head to bed early.

Wednesday, August 5 9am to 10am: wake up and get ready 10am to 10:30am: take metro to Pyramides stop and walk to Telescope, a bilingual coffee shop 10:30am to 1pm: spend time sipping coffee and snacking on a pastry while doing leisurely reading (10 euros) 1pm-2pm: have lunch at Le Richer (15 euros) 2pm to 5pm: visit Musée Rodin, a free museum that was an 18 th century mansion with an extensive art collection

Wednesday, August 5 5pm to 9 pm: return to the hotel, nap and freshen up for a night out! 9:30 pm to 2am: Enjoy a night at Favela Chic, a free admission Brazilian themed club with authentic Brazilian food and drinks; have a few drinks and “pub food” (30 euros) Cost of the day: 55 euros

Thursday August 6 12pm to 1pm: Wake up (You were out late, no need to wake up early!) and get ready 1pm-2pm: Go to Frenchie to Go. It is a much cheaper extension of Chef Gregory Marchand’s restaurant, Frenchie, which is very pricey and almost impossible to get a reservation at (12 euros) 2pm to 5pm: spend the afternoon enjoying Paris plage

Thursday, August 6 5pm to 8pm: shop at Boulevard Haussmann, it’s the last day and we still have over 150 euros left – buy some souvenirs! (budget 100 euros) 8pm – 9pm: Eat dinner at Bistrot Victoires (11 euros) 9:30pm: arrive back at the hotel and pack

Friday, August 7 9am: check out of the hotel and head to the airport 11am: return home and try not to get pickpocketed
