What to do: AFYs You have two years as an academic trainee You still need to maintain your clinical competencies You will have 4 months in the second year to undertake an academic project You will have dedicated time in the first year to gain academic experience and set up for the second year Complete Academic Supervisor End of Placement Meeting Form

What to do: ACFs You have Three years as an academic trainee You still need to maintain your clinical competencies You will have 9 months over 3 years to undertake an academic project, and obtain PhD funding You have the opportunity to undertake MSc in research methods

What to do: ACLs You have up to fours years as an academic trainee You still need to maintain your clinical competencies You will have up to two years to undertake an academic project, and to become an independent researcher You have the opportunity to obtain mentorship from the Academy of Medical Sciences

What to get out of it Some bursaries for attending research meeting (not for clinical) to encourage you to present your work Twice yearly local meeting for ACF and CLs which if AFYs can attend you are welcome. Next meeting is planned for 12 th November (Big Data)
