Mandate of DEM and EDA  DEM (Department for Economic Zones Management): -Building policies for industrial parks and economic zones development (including policies for enterprise development in IP&EZ, encouraging investment in IP&EZ, …) -Keep track of industrial parks and economic zones performance. -Support business development of IP&EZs, as well as enterprises in those.  EDA: - Agency for SME Development (EDA) is the central government agency that is responsible for coordinating policy formulation and policy implementation for the development of SMEs in Vietnam.

Action Plan  Project title: Conduct Workshop on the Implementation of Decree 56/2009 on Assistance to the development of SMEs  Objective: Popularize new Decree and disseminate experience in development SMEs in the North, the Middle and the South of Vietnam (including Industrial Parks and Economic Zones).
