Gingerbread Houses December is a month filled with many holiday traditions. Those are the things that make special memories that last a lifetime. In first grade we try to have memorable traditions as well. As a part of our first grade class holiday tradition, the children will be decorating gingerbread houses at school! Please use this link below to see how you can volunteer and help this tradition live on!

Community Service Project During the months of November and December, our first grade Social Studies curriculum emphasizes communities, families, and their traditions. To create a real-life and meaningful experience, we will be collecting money to purchase toys to donate to a local collection site. Please take a look at the information sheet about this coming home on Monday.

Book Bags Book bags will not be going home this week. If you would like additional books to read, you can visit our Raz kids sight where there are many choices of books close to your child’s reading level.

Holiday Homework Over the long weekend, your child will have an optional homework challenge. If your child returns the sheet on the first day back, November 30 th, he/she will receive a prize. Look for this sheet to be sent on Tuesday.

Family Journals Journals will go home this weekend Students will be able to write to a family member other than mom and dad since many families will see relatives this weekend.
