EIS Campus Self-Service Find An Asset The EIS system provides “Find an Asset” in Campus Self – Service to view asset information. Asset Coordinators can use the EIS Asset Management system to view asset information for their department. The Search screen provides fields to filter data to get the desired results. The Search fields can be used in combination to filter the search results. Fields with the Look Up icons are supported by data residing in EIS Tables
Find An Asset – General Information Find an Asset provides four screens for the information related to an asset. General Information: Description Tag Number Acquisition Date Profile (Class)
Find An Asset – Location/Comments Location/Comments Effective Date – Date the location was last changed. Location – The format for location is the building initials, space(s ), room number. Building initials with three characters will have two spaces. Building initials with four characters will have one space. Comments – Entered by Property Control.
Find An Asset – Manufacture/License/Custodian Manufacturer/License/ Custodian Serial ID Number Contact – End User Product Version – Tagged with a RFID tag Custodian – Department Head Authorization – Name of individual for Property Custody Receipt issued Custodian Information – Assigned Department ID for inventory purposes

Find An Asset – Search Keys The key to using “Find an Asset” is by applying the appropriate criteria to the fields in the Search screen. Find An Asset – Search by Tag Number Search for Asset by Tag Number Enter the tag number in the Tag Number field. Click “Search”
Find An Asset – Search by Department ID Search for Assets by Department Account Number Select the “Lookup” icon to view the Dept ID numbers or enter the Dept ID directly in the field To view active assets only, select “In Service” in the Asset Status fields. Click Search
Find An Asset – Search by Serial Number Search for assets by serial number The search can be conducted by entering the whole serial number or a portion of the serial number.

Find An Asset – Search by Description Search for Assets by Description The search can be conducted by entering the whole description or a portion of the description. Use “Contains” in the search command when using a portion of the description.
Find An Asset – Search by Profile (Class) Search for Assets by Profile (Class) Click on the Look Up icon in the Asset Profile ID field to view a list of profiles or enter the profile number directly in the field. Select View All to see all profiles Select the profile Click Search
