Presentation transcript:

VAMONOS Take the first few minutes of class to look over your vocabulary and take out a sheet of paper. Today is your speaking test and you will have a review sheet to complete. Get ready to write your answers on the sheet of paper.

ANUNCIOS - Duolingo  30 de noviembre - Two weeks from today (after Thanksgiving break) - Examen TOMORROW

CLASS TODAY In just a moment, I’ll show you your prompt for your speaking test. One by one, I will call you up to complete the test. While you are waiting to be called, you will complete review activities. If you complete all of them, you can receive extra credit on the test. You must complete the paragraph and four activities for passport credit.

UNIT 4 SPEAKING SECTION

DIRECTIONS You will have five minutes to write down notes for what you would like to say during the speaking section. I will collect your notes afterward and then call you up one by one to speak to me while your classmates are reviewing for the test. Right now, take out a sheet of paper and something to write with. Don’t forget to put your name on the paper! Remember that you’re only graded on what you say, not what you write.

RUBRIC Requirements (12 points- one point each) Student mentioned four classes, what time they meet, and a school supply for each class Grammar (5 points) Student used correct sentence structure, subject/verb agreement, noun/adjective agreement, and other grammar rules correctly in Spanish Fluidity and pronunciation (3 points) Student’s pronunciation was easy to understand and speech was fluid with few pauses or breaks

PROMPT You are talking on FaceTime with your friend who lives in Guatemala. She’s never been in an American school before, and she wants to know what your day-to-day life is like as a high school student in Georgia. You have 45 seconds to speak- if you meet the requirements in less time that is fine. You must include at least four classes, what time they meet, and at least one school supply that you need for each class.

Translate the following from English to Spanish: Hi, my name is __________ and I am a student at Morrow High School. I have seven classes at school. First, I have science at 8:45 AM. For science class (remember: class of science, not science class), I need an eraser and a pencil. Second, I have math at 9:30. For math class I need a calculator. Third, I have history at 10:10. For history class I need a notebook and a pen. After ( después de ) school, I listen to music, talk with (con) my friends, and watch TV. Now, complete AT LEAST FOUR of these activities from the blue book: Page 108 activity 5Page 110 activity 10 Page 109 activity 7Page 117 activity (blue box) Page 110 activity 9 Page 115 activity 20
