VETERANS BENEFITS ADMINISTRATION 6 The name in the database must match your PIV badge exactly (includes middle initial or name). If the name is different on the user’s PIV badge than in the OGC Accreditation Database, the user needs to send an with the corrected information to Updates take 24 hours to be reflected in the database. Before registering for SEP: A user will review his or her name in the Office of General Counsel’s (OGC) Accreditation Database pps/accreditation/ Office of General Counsel (OGC)

VETERANS BENEFITS ADMINISTRATION 7 OGC Permissions Another OGC consideration is permissions. The leadership of each Veteran Service Organization decides how the permissions of an individual Representative will be set within the OGC database. A Representative may be given permission to: – Accept or decline an electronic VAF – Submit a compensation application on behalf of the Veteran NOTE: These are separate permissions - a Representative may have permission for one, but not the other. If a user feels his or her permissions are not set up properly, the user must coordinate with each organization and the OGC Accreditation to have this changed. OGC Accreditation can be contacted at Office of General Counsel (OGC)

Choose specific search criteria to find requests that pertain to the VSO.

VETERANS BENEFITS ADMINISTRATION Stakeholder Enterprise Portal Overview 10 Representation Requests (User Guide Sections 5.0 – 5.4) When a search is run, the search results display at the bottom of the page. For details about a Veteran click the Veteran’s name. Representatives with permission to accept or decline requests will see the options on the details page.

VETERANS BENEFITS ADMINISTRATION Stakeholder Enterprise Portal Overview 12 Representative Dashboard (User Guide Sections 6.0 – 6.6) The Dashboard page (tab) is used to search for a Veteran. Once a Veteran’s record is found the Representative can access certain information.

Information provided is read only. The two (2) Actions used to provide additional evidence on an existing claim or to submit a new claim are: Claim Status – upload documents to support the Veteran’s claim Online Forms – access the Compensation and Dependent applications

VETERANS BENEFITS ADMINISTRATION Stakeholder Enterprise Portal Overview 16 VSO Work Queue (User Guide Sections 8.0 – 8.1) The VSO Work Queue is used to search for electronic applications that have been started, but not submitted. The application may have been started by the Veteran using eBenefits or by a Representative using SEP. Choose specific search criteria to find work items that pertain to the VSO.

VETERANS BENEFITS ADMINISTRATION Stakeholder Enterprise Portal Overview 17 VSO Work Queue (User Guide Sections 8.0 – 8.1) When a search is run, the search results display at the bottom of the page. The Veteran’s file number will be shown when you click on the Veteran’s name.

VETERANS BENEFITS ADMINISTRATION Stakeholder Enterprise Portal Overview 18 VSO Work Queue (User Guide Sections 8.0 – 8.1) Currently, there is no direct access to the application from the Work Queue. The user must: Return to the Dashboard Search for the Veteran Access the application from the Actions option “Online Forms”
