Clothes Trousers, jeans and shorts are plural nouns: My jeans are new. HEY!.. This pair of trousers is blue. Clothes is also a plural noun it is never singular!.. “beautiful baby clothes" or "a beautiful baby outfit / shirt / pair of pants." Cloth is NOT the singular of clothes. Cloth is a piece of material.
