DAVID HOCKNEY By Leah Dring and Grace Johnston DAVID HOCKNEY BY LEAH DRING & GRACE JOHNSTON

Our Chosen Painting! This is our chosen painting, it is called Garrowby Hill. This painting is very bright and colourful. I think they have put the road like this because they want you to follow it into the middle of the page. The artist has used impasto technique for the trees and pointillism for the fields in the disappearing point for texture.

Opinions About Our Chosen Painting! Leah's Thoughts;  “I think the chosen painting has a lots of good colours, they used complimentary e.g. purple, yellow, green and red it makes it look really realistic. He has also used lots of different techniques to make it look textured.” Grace’s Thoughts;  “I think the chosen painting has a really good choice of colours to make it stand out and look effective, also the artist David Hockney has used many techniques e.g.- impasto, pointillism and reflection. “
