2 Enterprise Application and Information  The EAI forum’s goal to drive the understanding and implementation of CIM messages to support both intra-company messaging and efficient and effective communication of the interconnected electric power networks in North America and Europe.  Establish a professional forum for the exchange of information and best practices on IEC CIM messaging and data sharing.  Provide feedback to the IEC Working Groups (13 and 14) on proposals, papers, and business issues related to message exchange of the IEC CIM.  Provide real-world experience and business requirements for enterprise application integration for IEC CIM information and exchange.  Communicate and raise awareness of EAI issues to vendors and customers using IEC CIM information and messaging.  Investigate and disseminate information and best practices in design and message exchange technology relevant to IEC CIM.  Submit and review message designs that may be on interest to the wider community  Provide help desk expertise on CIM EAI inquiries.

3 WG Status  No activity between Cimug meetings   Some conclusions from previous meetings About what should be done:  Exchange best practices and difficulties in using CIM and be a source of request and issues for the various TC57 working groups  Contribute to finalize the methodology to derive messages, which has been presented so far based on 4 layers.  Consider usage of tools (ex CIMTool)‏
