A Neighborhood Watch Team is one of the most effective and least costly ways to prevent crime. Every CANA resident is encouraged to join your local Neighborhood Watch Team. It doesn’t matter whether you’re young or old, single or married, working or retired, home owner or renter — all are welcome. Neighborhood Watch Team Members learn how to make their homes more secure, how to watch out for each other, and how to report suspicious activities to the appropriate authorities. Neighborhood Watch members are not vigilantes, they are extra eyes and ears for reporting crime and helping neighbors. An effective Neighborhood Watch Team helps build pride in the neighborhood and serves as a springboard for efforts that address other community concerns, such as noise control, neighborhood appearance, recreation, and quality education. Becoming an active member fights the isolation that crime both creates and feeds upon. Neighborhood Watch forges bonds among area residents, helps reduce burglaries and robberies, and improves relations between our neighborhood and local police. There are over 3,600 homes and 5,000 registered voters in the CANA area. Together we are a potent force for positive change. CANA Contact Information Telephone Website P.O.
