UI(1) – Control Panel Overview STATUSDESCRIPTION Off The machine is powered off-line. The machine is in power save mode. When data is received, or any button is pressed, it switches to on-line automatically. Wireless function can not be used. GreenBlinking When the green LED slowly blinks, the machine is receiving data from the computer. When the green LED rapidly brinks, the machine is printing data. On The machine is powered on and can be used. Wireless function can be used. RedBlinking A minor error has occurred and the machine is waiting for the error to be cleared. Check the display message, and solve the problem referring to "Understanding display messages" on page 71. The toner cartridge is low. Order a new toner cartridge, see "Ordering supplies" on page 82. You can temporarily improve print quality by redistributing the toner. (See "Replacing the toner cartridge" on page 63.) On A problem has occurred such as a paper jam, cover is open or no paper in the tray, so that the machine cannot continue the job. Check the message on the display, and refer to "Understanding display messages" on page 71 to solve the problem. The toner cartridge is empty, exhausted, or needs to be changed. (See "Understanding display messages" on page 71.)

UI(2) – Basic Menu Structure

F/W Upgrade It is possible to update F/W via USB and Network port Support updating F/W using Network applications software (SWAS, SWS) Normal Update Send ROM image file to MFP in Ready (Idle) state via USB or Network port Special Mode Update  Power ON with pressing Stop Key  MFP Set enter the status of Download Mode  Download F/W to MFP Set via ONLY USB 3. Special Operation Toner Supply Mode Altitude Auto continue In case of paper mismatch, different paper size between installed paper in tray and user set paper, Printing start after 30 sec if the Auto Continue option is ON state. To set different printing density as Altitude When the new toner kit is installed in MFP set, the main motor is running to supply toner - Max. 20sec for each toner - Just One time (new toner)
