Conditional Admittance Policy All Kaplan University undergraduate students will be considered conditionally admitted to the University and will not receive financial aid while in this status. All University policies nevertheless apply to such students, and they enjoy all the rights and resources of a fully instated student during the period of conditional admittance. At the end of the fifth week of classes, the University will review the academic performance of conditionally admitted students. Students who have earned a grade up to that point of 65 percent or higher for all coursework will be allowed to continue in their program and will only then be eligible for disbursement of any financial aid and to receive credit for the course. The University will reverse the enrollment of any student not meeting these criteria, and such a student will not owe any financial obligation to the University except for the application fee, which is non- refundable Students whose enrollments are reversed in this manner may not reapply for admission for one year unless they qualify for a waiver as applied by the dean of their respective school.

Plagiarism Policy Kaplan University considers academic honesty to be one of its highest values. Students are expected to be the sole authors of their work. Use of another person’s work or ideas must be accompanied by specific citations and references. Though not a comprehensive or exhaustive list, the syllabus provides some examples of dishonesty or unethical and unprofessional behavior. Please review this policy!!!! When in doubt, please cite your resources.

Graded Reviews In units where you see graded reviews, please use the readings to assist you in answering the questions. Take your time, you have two hours to complete each review.

Projects Please note that our rubrics share details on grading for each project. Please use the rubrics as your guide and when you see templates for projects, please use them as well. All projects are due on Tuesday evenings at 11:59 PM Eastern Time.

More Sharing! What questions do you have about the class syllabus or expectations of the course? What questions or concerns do you have regarding online college and online communication? Jump in!!

JUST FOR FUN….. With all activities, consider safety for age groups, along with appropriate supervision Cut up swimming noodles; use thicker rope and “bead” noodles Place a mix of dried rice and beans into a container or even cookie tray; allow students to “hide and seek” items in this “multicultural mix” (great tactile experience) “Paint” in shaving cream or whipped cream Add “texture” to play dough by mixing in sand, glitter, coffee grounds, etc. Use Bingo markers vs. crayons for coloring Make torn tissue paper collages (no scissors required; use glue sticks for ease with younger children) Make “edible slime” by melting gummies in the microwave

Something to Think About Millions saw the apple fall, but Newton was the one who asked why. ~Bernard m. Baruch I hear, and I forget. I see, and I remember. Harris A teacher affects eternity; he can never tell where his influence stops. ~Henry Adams Good teaching is more a giving of right questions than a giving of right answers. ~Josef Albers
