Canada and U.S.A. How Do They Compare

Official Language: SAME Canada’s primary language is English and its secondary language is French. The USA’s primary language is English and its secondary language is French.

Flag and Anthem: DIFF The Flags are completely different except for two of the colors. The anthems are also different but have similar lyrics.

Media: Same The media for the USA is the same as Canada. The USA has more famous actors than Canada but they type of movies and TV shows are the same.

Government: Same The US Government states that it is a Democracy. In actual fact it is a Capitalist Nation. It is also run by the Federal Reserve that is part of a Global Network of Privately owned banks, that run themselves a lot like a Communist Regime. Officially, Canada is a constitutional monarchy. Queen Elizabeth is our head of state. Practically speaking, we are a parliamentary democracy. Comparing these two, we have the same type of government, but the USA has additional sections of government that are not a democracy.

Health Care: Same In the USA, Health care facilities are largely owned and operated by the private sector. About 15% of the population is uninsured. In Canada, Health care is delivered through a publicly-funded health care system, which is mostly free at the point of use and has most services provided by private entities. Canada is Public, USA is Private.

Do these similarities and differences make us as unique from the U.S. as we would like to be? Why or why not? No. The more important things like our government and Language are the same. The US and Canada are similar in many ways but we all have different laws and people. The people are what make a nation unique from others.
