What is R.E.A.D.? O R.E.A.D. is Reading Enrichment Activities Daily O Every day we will work on different activities to help strengthen reading skills O Mostly vocabulary and discussion activities O You are graded 5% of your 4 th and 5 th period class in R.E.A.D. O You will read about the same topic both days but get different information and activities

What else will be in READ? O Accreditation Information O As you may notice, there are some posters around the school. These are to help us be prepared for our Accreditation this school year O We will learn more about the purpose and the vision of Somerset Academy

Every Day? O Every 4 th and 5 th period there is 30 minutes before or after lunch depending on your lunch period O These activities are current events that are controversial or may be sensitive to others, so make sure to be respectful of others’ beliefs!

Is this reading class? O All classes have some reading and these activities are made to help you in areas you need. O We are all working together to improve and get ready for upcoming tests like FCAT, SAT and ACT. O Do your part and participate!
