The Indian Ocean islands Madagascar, Mauritius and Seychelles are part of the Western Indian Ocean islands There are 11 countries and more than 1500 Islands in the western Indian Ocean. The islands are known for their tourism sites, fishing diversity and resources. All 11 countries are independent and have their own unique particularities and culture.

Madagascar in a few words 4 th largest island in the world Total Area: sq. Km Weather varies depending on regions. Madagascar can be affected by cyclones from December to March. Doing Business in Madagascar Madagascar has a democratically elected president since January 2014 after 5 years of transition. Madagascar economy relies on agriculture, mining, fishing and tourism. The large size of Madagascar makes inland movements challenging. It is preferable to conduct business meetings in a large city. Doing Business in Seychelles Seychelles is a stable and independent country Seychelles economy relies on tourism and fishing. Seychelles has become an attractive destination to foreign investors. Seychelles has a small but good and efficient infrastructure. Only few items attract duties on import and or might require an import permit VAT of 15% is applicable on imports.
