To become a Marine Biologist you must complete a -bachelor’s degree in science -majoring in biology -marine biology or related area -have a good eye for detail Marine biologist also have to learn how to drive a boat and have their scuba diving license.

Marine biology is the scientific study of animals,plants and many other organisms that live in and near the ocean. Should I major in Marine Biology at College? College is too early to become too involved in MB (marine biology). But some basic science should full up your course work. You could think about taking one or two courses in marine science or even a minor! But study biology,physics,chemistry and math, maybe even engineering to fill in your time. If you are really interested in this then you will become a scientist with a specialty in marine biology. Some basic information…

Hours/Travel -Marine biologist work 40-hour weeks. -They may travel to remote areas and live in primitive conditions while conducting studies. This mainly applies to wildlife biologists. Work Performance -They must be sure that all of the details of the job is completed. -You must be exact in the work and follow the basic steps in their observations.

If you are an average Ph.D. entering a university job, you would earn a salary of 45,000 for the academic year and you could earn a summer salary as well. Salaries of public school teachers are generally lower and the variation is great. A full professor these days in a university is earning 65,000-70,000 and more for the academic year.
