Subject-Verb Agreement

NUMBER— the form a word takes to indicate whether the word is SINGULAR or PLURAL. SINGULAR — a word that refers to one person, place, thing, or idea.   EXAMPLES: PLURAL — a word that refers to more than one person, place, thing, or idea.

INDEFINITE PRONOUNS— words that replace nouns without specifying which noun they replace. SINGULAR — anybody, anyone, anything, each, either, everybody, everyone, everything, neither, nobody, no one, nothing, one, somebody, someone, and something. PLURAL — both, few, many, and several.   SINGULAR/PLURAL — all, any, more, most, none, and some (DEPEND ON THEIR MEANING IN THE SENTENCE)
