HOW TO SET UP YOUR DISPLAY EMILY EINEICHNER LIZ DEAL May 12, 2015

Use of Space  The most common vendor area at a trade show or festival is a 10 foot by 10 foot area.  There are many tips and tricks to maximize your space, without making it look crowded

How Much Product Should I Display?  Leave a 3” to 4” space between the edge of your table closest to the customer and the product  This is to help avoid bumping products off your table  Never put product past the notch in the hook!  Items easily fall off hooks once they have passed the notch On The TableHooks on Gridwall

Levels  Displaying your product on shelving and grids versus just laying it on the table makes it more appealing to the eye  This also allows your customers to see more of your product from a farther distance

Cheap Ways to Create Levels  Stacking Crates Can be bought at most craft stores or made from pallets  Covered Boxes

Color Scheme  Colors should reflect your product and/or your business  If your product has a lot of color, keep your display neutral or monotone

Don’t Forget Your Tent!  Your tent not only provides shade on hot days, but can also be decorated and used to display your product!

No Hand Written Signs!  Unless you are a master at the art of handwriting, stay away from hand written signs Looks unprofessional and thrown together Often hard to read

Behind the Scenes  Weights for your tent Most forgotten item, but the most important to have  Tables  Scissors  Tape  Pens  Chairs  Table Cloths  Carpet Makes the area cozy looking, also covers power cords

Tips for a Successful Booth  Free: People love the word free Candy, Stickers, Etc.  Call to action “Try Me”  Forms of payment Make it clear that you take multiple forms of payment Signs at the check out  Product details  Don’t hover

Display Hacks 1.3 Table cloths, cut and tied = Instant Back Drop! 2.No business cards? No problem! We live in a world where people take pictures with their phone anyway, so make sure your contact info is easily accessible and easy to see 3.Empty frame + chicken wire = Hanging Display 4.Empty frames + Fabric + tiny hooks = Table Top Hanging Display Pinterest.com is your friend!
