Policy Research and Innovation Research and Innovation Fast Track to Innovation Pilot A Fast Track to Innovation pilot is to be launched in 2015, with the following features: aimed at close-to-market actions with a maximum of 5 partners and a maximum of € 3M per project open calls with three cut-off deadlines per year fast time to grant project will not require Programme Committee approval. covering all fields across LEITs and Societal Challenges. The pilot will include a sufficient number of projects to allow for an in depth evaluation that will be part of the mid-term evaluation of H2020. Future implementation of the Fast Track will be decided on the basis of the evaluation results. 9
Policy Research and Innovation Research and Innovation R&D and Innovation procurement in Horizon 2020 Pre-commercial Procurement (PCP) is an approach for procuring R&D services which enables public procurers to: share the risks and benefits of designing, prototyping and testing a limited volume of new products and services with the suppliers, without involving State aid; create the optimum conditions for wide commercialization and take-up of R&D results through standardization and/or publication pool the efforts of several procurers; First-commercial Procurement or Public Procurement of Innovative Solutions(PPI) refers to procurement where contracting authorities act as a launching customer (early adopter) to purchase/deploy innovative goods or services that are newly arriving on the market and which are not yet available on a large-scale commercial basis.
