Presentation transcript:

Mary travelled from her home In Nazareth to Bethlehem – in Bethlehem. Joseph led the donkey down the Long and dusty winding road – to Bethlehem. When they got there, they looked around For a room that could not be found, They couldn’t find a comfy cradle But they had a drafty stable CHORUS Mary Mary Mary Had your baby In a cattle stall Little baby Jesus Our Lord Jesus Lying in the straw The Star Showed the Wise Men the way, to the Little Baby Jesus Sleeping in the hay. x2 Angel Gabriel told the shepherds Find the baby in a stable – in Bethlehem Go afar and find the star That leads you to the baby new – Christ the Lord. They brought a lamb to the cattle stall They said they’d answered the ‘Angel’s’ call When they found the lowly stable They knelt at the baby’s cradle Chorus x2

Candle in the window When the winter day is dying And the wind is blowing wild, Listen for a lonely crying. It may be a wandering child. CHORUS: Light a candle in your window Let the night know that you care, Light a candle in the window, It will guide the Christ-child there. When at times you fear to follow On the track that you must tread, Friendly promises are hollow For the tests that lie ahead. CHORUS: When the world outside is waiting But you can’t give any more There's no end to war and hating And you long to close the door. CHORUS:

O LITTLE TOWN OF BETHLEHEM. O little town of Bethlehem, How still we see thee lie, Above thy deep and dreamless sleep The silent stars go by. Yet in the dark streets shineth The everlasting light; The hopes and fears of all the years Are met in thee tonight. O Holy Child of Bethlehem, Descend to us we pray; Cast out our sin, and enter in, Be born in us today. We hear the Christmas Angels The great glad tidings tell: O come to us, abide with us, Our Lord Emmanuel.

Sans Day Carol Now the holly bears a berry as white as the milk, And Mary bore Jesus, who was wrapped up in silk: Chorus And Mary bore Jesus Christ our saviour for to be, And the first tree in the greenwood, it was the Holly, holly! holly! And the first tree in the greenwood, it was the Holly. Now the holly bears a berry as green as the grass, And Mary bore Jesus, who died on the cross; Chorus Now the holly bears a berry as black as the coal, And Mary bore Jesus, who died for us all; Chorus Now the holly bears a berry, as blood is it red, Then trust we our saviour, who rose from the dead; Chorus

AWAY IN A MANGER Away in a manger, no crib for a bed, The little Lord Jesus lay down His sweet head. The stars in the bright sky looked down where he lay. The little Lord Jesus asleep on the hay. The cattle are lowing, the baby awakes, But little Lord Jesus no crying He makes. I love Thee, Lord Jesus! look down from the sky And stay by my side until morning is nigh. Be near me Lord Jesus; I ask Thee to stay Close by me forever, and love me I pray. Bless all the dear children in Thy tender care, And fit us for heaven to live with Thee there.

O come, all ye faithful O Come all ye faithful, Joyful and triumphant, O come ye, O come ye to Bethlehem; Come and behold Him Born the King of Angels: O come, let us adore Him, Christ the Lord. Yea, Lord we greet thee, Born this happy morning, Jesu, to thee be glory given; Word of the Father, Now in flesh appearing. O come, let us adore Him, Christ the Lord.

Are you hanging up a stocking on your wall? Are you hanging up a stocking on your wall? It's the time that every Santa has a ball Does he ride a red nosed reindeer? Does he turn up on his sleigh? Do the fairies keep him sober for a day? Chorus: So here it is merry Christmas Everybody's having fun Look to the future now It's only just begun Are you waiting for the family to arrive? Are you sure you got the room to spare inside? Does your granny always tell you That the old songs are the best? Then she's up and rock 'n' rollin' with the rest Chorus: So here it is merry Christmas Everybody's having fun Look to the future now It's only just begun

What will your daddy do When he sees that Santa’s Hanging stockings up ah ha ha, ah ha ha Are you hanging up a stocking on your wall? It's the time that every Santa has a ball Does he ride a red nosed reindeer? Does he turn up on his sleigh? Do the fairies keep him sober for a day? Chorus: x4 So here it is merry Christmas Everybody's having fun Look to the future now It's only just begun
