Name of Museum Imagine if one architect was organizing a pyramid that weighed 11,500,000,000 pounds and you had 2.3 million blocks to lift that weighed an average of 2.5 tons each block. Pharaoh Khufu was the person who was in charge of the Pyramid at Giza. The great Pyramid at Giza was built from 2650 to 1640 B.C in the Old and Middle period. Pharaoh Khufu did direct the pyramid at Giza but he did not built the pyramid, it was his ancient egyptian workers who were peasants. The great Pyramid at Giza was located on the edge of the desert on the west bank of the Nile river. The great Pyramid at Giza was smooth sided and the Pyramid covers more than 13 acres of land and there were. Three traits of advances of technology were how did ancient egyptians cut rock, how did they carry the rocks on land and how did they transport the rocks in water. Introduction Back to Room 1

Name of Museum Three traits of technology at the Great Pyramid at Giza shows the Great Pyramid of Giza is an important civilization. How Ancient Egyptians cut rocks is one trait of a civilization. The Ancient Egyptians cut blocks with pickaxes, granite hammers, driving wedges and then soaked them with water that expanded the rocks and then they cracked the rock. How the Ancient Egyptians moved the rocks at the Great Pyramids at Giza is another trait of an important civilization. The Ancient Egyptians moved rock with a temporary ramp and they used smooth logs with mud to make the rocks move more quickly. The materials Ancient Egyptians used is another trait that the Great Pyramid at Giza is an important civilization. The Ancient Egyptians used pickaxes, chiseled, granite hammers, copper drills and saws and they used driving wedges to split the rocks. The Great Pyramid at Giza is an important civilization because of the three traits moving and cutting the rocks and the materials the Ancient Egyptians used. Body Paragraph Back to Room 2
