Description of Design Task Problem Statement- We recognized the opportunity to increase revenue through the redesign and sale of the disposable camera. Customer Needs Assessment- Targeting a camera for all ages that can be brought where your digital camera can not.

Small changes to the disposable camera based on customer likes can create to a more successful product Preliminary Specifications ● Affordable ● Waterproof ● Aesthetically pleasing ● Durable ● Portable

Wrong niche, lacking features, and primitive design all account for the reason the disposable camera is a dying product.

Keeping an open mind during the design process can lend itself to many ideas.

These are the slight changes in camera specifications we believe will make a more successful product Technical Specifications Waterproof Durability Materials Flash Shutter Mechanism Film Reel Weight Dimensions Cost

Cost Analysis 1.5V Coin Cell Alkaline Battery: $0.59/battery Polystyrene Plastic: $0.03/lb Rubber: $0.17/lb Nylon: $0.06/meter Additional Costs

Summary We recognized the opportunity to increase revenue through the redesign and sale of the disposable camera. By realizing this opportunity we decided to improve features such as water resistant case, rubber outlining, smaller camera and on-the-go wristband. We think that these changes will greatly increase the revenue the camera generates especially for the target of the targeted audience for children and parents.
