Updates: Merger-AST&L

30 © APICS Confidential and Proprietary APICS and AST&L merger final We are pleased to announce that the merger of APICS and the American Society of Transportation and Logistics (AST&L) is final. The merger expands, extends and deepens the end-to-end supply chain body of knowledge that fuels APICS global supply chain research, education and certification programs. The merged organization offers unmatched content and subject matter expertise that will enable individuals and organizations to meet key supply chain challenges. AST&L members will be given the choice to affiliate with an APICS chapter. After this choice is made, they will be listed on your chapter roster in Partner Connect but will have a special membership type (ASTL Legacy Membership). They will have the complete suite of APICS member benefits.

31 © APICS Confidential and Proprietary Certified in Logistics, Transportation and Distribution (CLTD) Replaces AST&L’s CTL with this new cert. CTL’s will keep their current designation and it will be acknowledged in our credential verification tool, but anyone wanting the new CLTD will need to take the new exam (single exam). Exam Content Outline developed and selected references Exam Committee has formed-exam is being worked on, finalizing courseware subcommittee-to start on the courseware. Using Holmes to create the new courseware. Goal is to release new Learning System late Q (early Q3) and follow up with instructor material about three months later. The first exam window will begin in October, We’ll need several hundred people to take the exams in order to conduct a cut score to determine the passing (raw) score – so the first several hundred exam takers won’t get their score for six to eight weeks. Then is will be “off to the races”-Bob Collins
