The Sony Vaio S series is a discontinued model made by Sony. It is the cheaper version of the more expensive version the Z series. The reviews of the S series say that is better than its more expensive version which is why I am purchasing it. The S series was discontinued by Sony because they wanted to bring newer models. Luckily the day I went to get mine in Barrie it got was ordered form northern Ontario, the very last one left in Ontario was mine. The laptop cost $
