National Networks for Collaborative Outreach What are they? What is happening in regard to the networks in your region? What will it mean for you?

To simplify access to provision for those currently engaged with different HEI programmes. The Brief November 2013, government announced 25 million to support collaborative networks To support “collaborative approaches in delivering higher education (HE) outreach activity to all state-funded secondary schools and colleges”. Funded until December 2016 Engage Schools who may not be parking in Outreach with HEIs.

The Outcome Summer of 2014 institutions were invited to submit proposals for networks in order to access funding that had been set aside for each institution. The development of 35 regional and 3 national networks. Single point of contact. Website.

Higher Horizons Network (WPCG) Membership: Keele University (lead) Harper Adams University Macclesfield College Manchester Metropolitan University Reaseheath College Staffordshire University University of Chester University of Derby University of Oxford Geographical coverage – Staffordshire, Cheshire East, Cheshire West, Shropshire, Derby City, Derbyshire, The Wirral. Existing activities include: Y10 taster days (this year taking place at Keele and Harper Adams, Primary and pre / post 16 events.
