Eighth Grade Technology Mr. Ruddle

A system is a group of interrelated parts that work together to accomplish a goal. What does “interrelate” mean?

When things interrelate, it means that they make connections with multiple things. Usually, in a system, the interrelated parts depend on each other.

 Open-Loop Systems  Closed-Loop Systems

Open-Loop Systems continuously interact with the environment or humans. Usually, an open-loop system does some function, then stops until it receives a command again. Closed-Loop Systems operate and self- regulate without interaction with the humans except for initial input. Usually, a person enters an initial setting and the system completes the same operation until an new setting is entered.
