A temporary colour is a colour that stays on your hair for so long. Temporary hair colours can come in shampoos as well as gels, mousse or spray. There are also luminous temporary hair colours in a gel form too. A temporary colour lasts for 1 shampoo.

Semi-permanent comes in a whole range of different colours. The bad thing about it is that it doesn’t last long. A Semi-Permanent Cream Formula, usually Lasts 6 shampoos on most hair types and it Lasts longer on bleached or pre- lightened hair.

Quasi-colour contains chemicals which slightly opens the cuticle. This means that the colour can last up to 20 washes and will softly fade as you shampoo, causing no re-growth problem. Good Points: Hair feels better after colouring, beautiful shade range, easy to apply, no commitment, smells good, great for men and women who don't have hair colour. Bad Points: Fades, sometimes deposits darker, can only deposit not lighten, the shades offered in koleston perfect are not offered in colour touch.

Permanent hair colour can be either single process or double process. Single process refers to slight changes in hair colour, perhaps a few shades lighter or a few shades darker. Double processing is used when you want a drastically lighter colour. A disadvantage of using permanent hair colour is also an advantage--the colour is permanent. If you don't like the results that you get, you will need to let your hair grow out or do additional colour corrections to get to the right shade.

Depending on your natural hair colour it is possible to give natural blonde more intensity by colour enhancing products. Bleach doesn’t wash out because it is permanent. It comes in different forms which are powder, cream, gel and oil, the oil based ones are used on the scalp as they are kinder.

This sort has a ph level that is higher resulting in a stronger, crisper curl Alkaline perms are good for strong curls, they process quickly, and they work at room temperature. They usually contain ammonium thioglycolate. it can be taken out of your hair but the chemicals will still be in your hair

Acid-balanced perms are better for delicate hair, when you want a gentle curl, or just to add body. Some require external heat, like a hood-type dryer. They usually contain glyceryl monothiglycolate. Use an acid-balanced perm: If your hair is delicate or fragile. If you want a soft, natural look. If you want to create body rather than a strong curl. It lasts until it finally comes out. It can be removed but the chemicals will still be in your hair.
