Academic Requirements A Bachelor’s Degree from a SAIPA accredited tertiary institution  B.Com  B.Tech  B.Compt Core Subjects  Financial Accounting III;  Taxation;  Corporate Law or Commercial Law I & II;  Auditing or Internal Control I & II ;  Management Accounting or Financial Management

Practical Requirements  Three years’ supervised training at an ATC  Registered as learnership with FASSET  Documented & regularly updated in the institute’s official training logbook by the Trainee Accountant & ATC principal OR  Completed training programme administered by other accredited professional accountancy bodies OR  Six years of relevant experience in accordance with the Institute’s official training logbook, verified by current and/or previous employers

Professional Evaluation Professional Evaluation Exam  Ability to integrate academic knowledge with the practical skills required in an accountancy work environment PE Components  Accounting and Auditing  Corporate Law and Taxation  Strategic Management  Practice Management  Practical case study knowledge application PE written twice per year  May  November
