2 Why Us? Objectives To learn what Appreciative Inquiry is and how the process works. To apply the Appreciative Inquiry philosophy at the personal development level. To create a spark to learn more about utilizing Appreciative Inquiry as a change process, personally or organizationally.

3 The study of what gives life to human systems when they function at their best. (Whitney & Trosten-Bloom, 2010) About change – personal and organizational It’s about balancing a healthy tension between continuity, novelty and transition. The process helps honor the past (continuity) and search for newness (novelty) in order to embrace movement toward the new future (transition). (Cooperrider, Whitney & Stavros, 2008) What is Appreciative Inquiry?

4 An emerging group of methodologies for facilitating conversations. They maximize collective intelligence, integrate and utilize diversity, and minimize/transform conflict.
