Electronic devices with screens give off what’s called “blue light”; This light tells your brain that it’s still daytime and not time to sleep. Here is how these devices harm your sleep:
When you use electronic devices before going to sleep or have them in your room while sleeping, you risk: Taking longer to fall asleep; Sleeping fewer hours.
When you use electronic devices before going to sleep, you risk: Feeling tired and less alert in the morning. Finding it more difficult to do activities you enjoy.
To maintain the quality of your sleep, before going to bed you can: Read a paper book rather than an e-book; Turn your screens off at least 1 hour before bed; Store your electronic devices outside your room.
