 warlike, semi-nomadic people from northeastern Asia.  conquered imperial China in the late twelfth century A.D.  were overthrown and Chinese rule was restored in 1368 with the rise of the ming dynasty.

 the last five decades of Communist rule have run true to the age-old pattern of Chinese political history.  revolutionary fervor ideological flexibility.  periodic demands for more democracy.

 first great Chinese teacher.  has commanded great respect in China.  Lived at a time of great political disorder.  Ethnical values were honesty, loyalty, respect for elders.  Have the love of learning, and moral restraint.

 He was born around 570 B.C  Laotzu was a mystic who believed that less government is better.  Taoists urge people to seek wisdom.  Confucianism and Taoism were enriched by the powerful system of b.elief
