Graduation Requirements Distinguished Achievement Grad Plan Students must complete a 3 rd year of the same foreign language (only curriculum addition) Must also meet 4 of the following criterion: –Score of 3 or higher on an AP exam –GPA of 3.0 or higher on academic college course taken while in high school (Dual Credit classses) –Original research project under the direction of mentors from local university –Selection as a National Merit Commended student

International Baccalaureate Programme You will take 7 courses from at least 5 different core areas beginning in the 11 th grade You will earn 150 CAS (creativity, action, service) hours You will write an extended essay of words You will need to turn in an enrollment request form to your counselor before spring break Try to complete your PE, fine arts, technology applications, and Health/Communication Applications credits by end of 10 th grade

Alternative Methods for Earning Credit Summer School Correspondence Night School Credit by Exam Credit Recovery (Edgenuity)

To graduate, a student must have a cumulative score on all of the EOC assessments taken in each content area. The 5 EOC assessments are: English I, English II Algebra I Biology U.S. History Students not meeting the testing requirements in December will retest in April and May. Students not meeting the testing requirements in April will have the opportunity for tutoring in June and retesting in July even if a student passes the course.

Click on Career Cruising Icon to log in to Course Planner.  You will enter your schedule on the computer in one of our computer labs during your Social Studies class period February 18, 19, 20, 21, 24, or February 25.  Counselors will be in the computer labs to assist students with the registration process.  You may begin entering your schedule in Career Cruising now on any computer that has internet access.

Dual Credit Dual Credit courses are courses that receive high school and college credit and are open to students entering their Junior or Senior year. To be eligible to enroll in a Dual Credit class, students must have a 7.0 overall grade point average on a 12 point scale and must pass the Texas Success Initiative exam. Dual Credit courses are offered during the school year. Many are also offered during summer school.
