Let’s Celebrate!

Your Board Member’s Critical Role  Know your organization and mission  Know your fundraising focus  Be an ambassador—let their passion show  Lead by giving  Identify donors and volunteers  Open doors  Thank donors

BOARD MEMBER AGREEMENT I, ________ understand that as a member of the Board of Directors of the Waterloo-Cedar Falls Symphony Orchestra, I have a legal and moral responsibility to ensure that the organization does the best work possible in pursuit of its goals. I believe in the purpose and the mission of the organization, and I will act responsibly and prudently as its steward. As part of my responsibilities as a board member: I will interpret the organization’s work and values to the community, represent the organization, and act as a spokesperson. I will attend concerts and purchase a season subscription to the Symphony. I will attend at least 75% of board meetings

 How to connect with and engage former board members

Involvement leads to ownership. Ownership leads to giving.

 Moving them up the pyramid The Ultimate Gift Giving
