Nlets – CANDLE Grant

CANDLE Collaboration between AAMVA and Nlets for Driver License Exchange

CANDLE Summary Goal was to provide driver related transactions to Nlets users in a standard format Five states participated Leveraged existing infrastructure and data standards GJXDM central component Final report completed

CANDLE Final Report Highlights All states have implemented portions of driver and vehicle transactions Consensus approach was used Several issues identified Process improvements needed

CANDLE Next Steps  Summit planned  Moving from five to fifty  Pursue funding

Initial specification written by AAMVA  With input from Nlets and pilot states Nlets then took ownership of specification after release Fruition of Spec
