 Believe it or not, Nintendo started as a card making company in the late 1800’s!  It wasn't until the mid 70’s when the production of games and consoles began.  The first console, was available in August of 1982.

 On a larger scheme of things Nintendo Consoles are pretty inexpensive along with the games that correspond to them.  Entertainment for hours

 The only disadvantage of these consoles and games that I can think of would be, people spending too much time on these games, and becoming lazy, distracted, and eventually possibly obese.

 There have been many phases of Nintendo Consoles, but a listed few are the Nintendo 64, the game Cube, The Wii, and the Nintendo Ds, Ds-I, and DS-3D

 Coming soon? Miyamoto Shigeru has big plans for a brand new console that is to be the successor of the “Wii” and the “Wii 2”. The up and coming “Wii U” will have 3D technology, and will be hand held. A “pen” will replace the “Wii- motes”.

 Nintendo products originated in Japan, though today there are factories also in China, and more industrial countries of Asia.

 --In June alone(2007), Wii was once again the top-selling home console with nearly 435,000 units sold in the United States and Canada combined (381,800 United States, 53,000 Canada).  --Wii already boasts more than 180 games, including 120 downloadable Virtual Console™ titles. By the end of the year, that total number will climb to about 330 games, including an additional 100 new games from every major third-party publisher, along with an additional 50 Virtual Console titles.  Mario is the most famous character in the history of video games, and perhaps is the most famous character ever. In a 1990 poll by Marketing Evaluations, Mario was found to be more popular (and recognizable) among children than Mickey Mouse.
