Medical Center Campaign College of Medicine/Medical Education Campaign Chair John Melvin Fall 2010: ten year strategic plan for OSU Medical Center development that will guide fundraising priorities Recruit campaign committee Continue expanding support opportunities (lecture series, chairs, program endowments)

Scholarships Endowed scholarships remain a critical need Why: On average, the College of Medicine awards $6.79 million in scholarships annually. Its peer institutions (top 20 academic medical centers) award just over $10 million annually. The primary reason non-matriculating students cite for choosing not to attend Ohio State is a more attractive scholarship offer from another institution. For recruitment, educational access, excellence, rankings and to pay forward What We Are Doing: updated scholarship endowment publication, campaign priority, 10/12 reception, personalized impact, thank you to loyal annual fund scholarship donors, current use option
