El mundo hispano How much do you know?

Latin America includes: a)All the countries in North and South America that speak Spanish. b)All the countries in South America and the Caribbean that speak Spanish. c)All the countries in both Americas and the Caribbean that speak Spanish, French or Portuguese.

We call it “Latin America” because all of these countries speak Spanish, French, or Portuguese, all of which came from Latin. (English came from German.)
