CHECK YOUR CURRENT GRADE ON THE WALL AND WRITE DOWN WHAT PROJECTS OR TESTS YOU ARE MISSING Warm Up

A chance to raise your grade Who would like a higher grade for Q4? We will have 4 classes before the end of the year. You will be graded in each of these 4 classes based on quality of work, participation, and work ethic. These projects will act as a FINAL instead of an EXAM

Question Has anyone here ever wanted to be a newspaper, tv, radio, or internet reporter? Today you will get that chance! What things do you think a reporter needs to do before they write or broadcast their story? Let’s write these ideas together below:

Science Current Events Report You and a partner will create a slideshow using Google Docs on your chromebook. You will present this during our next class It will have a minimum of 6 slides You will have 5 informational slides that will contain 1 picture with text explaining each standard for your topic.

Slide 1: Names, Title and Block # Slide 2: Who (is involved) Slide 3: What (the main idea, what does it mean, etc.) Slide 4: When (when did it happen or when will it happen/date article or video was released) Slide 5: Where (location) Slide 6: Why (why is it important / how does it affect you / why is it important to planet Earth)

The 5 topics! You and a partner will be assigned a topic Each topic is listed on the following slides Each topic has a list of sources that you will use to complete your research You will only need 1 chromebook to put together your presentation You will receive your topic and research guidelines now Again you will find the slide that matches your topic to access your sources
